just kitten - a remix album by gosh from yaputhma a.k.a. dj snobo - out now on de'fchild productions (san-francisco, us)!

gosh says: - way back in 2007, i decided to see if i can get back to music production which i abandoned in 1999 after a fatal hdd crash sweeping away all my project archives, software and sound libraries, my eventual shift to djing and, later on, just spacing out. instead of diving in the mariana trench of modern music software with a risk (or, rather, 99% probability) of getting lost there for good i thought i better use a diy tool more or less familiar to me from the bygone era - the jeskola buzz tracker. just as a test to see how i feel about it.

i quickly produced two tracks, which i think were simple but not that bad. i had fun. however, i also realized that i can still live without producing. and as the rule say - "if you can do without writing - don't write" - i didn't continue, instead fully immersing into djing, making mixtapes and (co)hosting a radio show. however, one of those tracks became a trigger point for me to get actively back into music world, making new contacts and friends, and de'fchild productions' mainman ruoho ruotsi was one of them, with whom we subsequently established firm friendly and creative connections.

exactly this track - just kitten - remixed by old and new friends, including my old pals selffish and martinez gonzalez, and such great artists as havantepe, ruoho ruotsi and triton amongst others, is presented here in a form of a remix album. and as the artwork is based on a painting by my mother (drawn circa 1970), which is quite dear to me, i suggest considering this project virtually a family affair :)
